Positive: Beautiful area Negative: The kitchen sink had some issues with the drain. Sometimes backing up. Could only use 1 side at a time.

Great little weekend get away cabin! Quietly tucked into the Allegheny National Forest. Clean and well stocked with needed kitchen essentials. Walking and hiking trails close by with little to no traffic. Amanda was a great host and very responsive with questions prior to arrival. Would definitely visit again!

This is one of our favorite places to stay. It is always clean and cozy. It is so secluded and quiet. Everything you need is provided, and the host is always quick to respond. Can't wait to return.

Brilliant getaway for two. Place is hard to find and is a dirt/gravel path off the main road that isn't marked or easy to see. There's a brown bar that you need to move, but it's labeled "36A" not 339, which made me think it was the wrong place. When I finally got there, the code didn't work and started alarming. Amanda was responsive for both issues which were quickly resolved. The place was clean. There's only one window A/C which is in the living room, so if you want the bedrooms cool, you'll need to leave the doors wide open. Not a problem on a weekend for two. Or was beautiful, quiet, and so peaceful. Camping feel with home amenities. Would stay again if I was ever out that way.

Perfect for enjoying ANF. Very secluded and quiet yet nearby any outdoor activity possible. We stayed in 90 ' heat so appreciated the A/C and outdoor grill. We were comfortable cooking sleeping and relaxing here. Very clean accommodation in a camping atmosphere!

Great location for our fishing trip.

Really cute cabin, rustic, was clean and had everything we needed. Because you are in a national forrest area, be aware that you won’t see visible house numbers on Salmon Creek Rd and cabin is set back a lane out of view, but the views of nature and stars at night is fantastic and the spot is private.

My kids and I had an amazing time. Very private and clean. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Very close to Cook Forest where I grew up. Loved it!

Beautiful property!

Great little cabin for a peaceful getaway. Close to the Clarion and Cooks Forest so plenty to do if you ever decide to leave the cabin. Hosts were fantastic. Would stay here again.

me and friends stayed for four days the cabin was in the woods was clean very well maintained and the host was very helpful. we enjoyed the week in the cabin and i would highly recommend this spot for a getaway.

Amanda's place was very secluded. We did not see another soul, just heard cars as they drove by to some camping sites much farther down the dead-end road. I'm not sure if there was another house on the road, which is exactly what we were looking for. Being so close to a trailhead on the North Country Trail was also a positive. Note: The cookware was bare bones, very small, and past its useful life so if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking, you will want to bring your own pots/pans, chef's knife.

Hard to find drive way

Great stay. Other than the deadbolt on the front door not working (the door had an additional lock that did work perfectly fine) - the stay was great! Just as she described and perfect for a quick cabin weekend. Thanks!

Very private cabin in the woods next to the trails

We were surprised when we walked in that we had a tv and internet. The cabin was spotless and so cozy. It was right in between Cooks forest and Tionesta. There is a nice restaurant in town called Kelly's tavern. We had a lovely dinner and drinks there. Perfect short vacation.

Beautiful and peaceful.

A very private and peaceful spot in the middle of the woods never felt so good to stay at. Amanda was a very helpful and kind host that was very responsive to my questions and comments. I have no problem recommending this place, and as a first time user of the site, I picked a good place to start!

I picked this place because it was secluded on 30 acres. But you are also walking distance to the North Country Trail and surrounded by woods. It was so peaceful. The only noise is the occasional car or truck on the gravel road. The only small thing was the lack of good cooking utensils and pans. The pans were pretty warn and the only spatula was metal (probably the reason the pans were scratched). I ended up buying a plastic spatula and leaving it for others to use. Otherwise there were plenty of plates and glasses, etc. We are hikers and birdwatchers so this was a perfect little spot. Nothing fancy but nice enough and clean. We had a lovely time!

Was a beautiful secluded spot. Had a wonderful time exploring the forest. Everything was great. The only complaint is that the queen mattress is ready to be replaced.

It was a beautiful cabin with tons of privacy….accurately described. No weird odors. Love how the bathroom was kinda separate from main house. Would stay there again! If you need a getaway to peace and quiet this is it!!

Our winter booking at this cabin was fantastic! All of the amenities and utilities were exactly as described and ran into zero issues across a several days stay. The cabin is well maintained and modernized, without sacrificing the rustic feel. You can tell they've really cared for this place and that other guests have generally respected the property during their stays. This is the kind of place you can totally relax at without hearing or seeing anyone else for hours or days at a time. I'll definitely be booking a longer stay in the future. Amanda was quick to respond to a couple of questions I had, and she made me feel welcomed and reassured. Some hosts treat you like a tourist (which you are, technically) or as if you are a nuisance. I prefer to minimize interrupting a host, but when things come up it is good to know they are there for you. Given my interactions with this host, I'd absolutely book with them again here or at one of their other properties.

My husband and I spent 5 nights here on a perfect week when the leaves were falling. It was lovely! This is a great cabin. Very quiet. Beautiful property. Interior has everything you need. Amanda was great. One note on directions - Amanda’s directions are clear and really all you need. You can not see the house from the road and can miss the turn off easily. We were not paying attention and missed it the first time. No biggy.

Some friends and I wanted a getaway in the forest, and this place was great for that! We took a long day hike without getting in our car, and then came back to the cabin for food and a fire. It was a great place to stay for the weekend.

This is a gem in the woods. It is so quiet and peaceful. There was not one spider, which is surprising for the location. There was no musty smell, not even in the towels, which was also surprising. It was clean and cozy. We heard coyotes one day! The covered porch was awesome, had coffee there every morning. There is everything you need, and the owners are very quick to answer any questions. We can't wait to go back.

Absolutely the perfect place if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! This cabin does however offer high-speed internet and although there is little cell phone reception, you can still make calls back to civilization via wifi calling. The cabin itself is located in the Allegheny National Forest at the top of a private gravel road and is not visible from the adjoining gravel road. This was amazing! You can actually feel yourself leaving behind everyday stress as you drive up the entrance while being surrounded by nature. The interior of the cabin was spotless and roomy. It included all the necessary features one would need. The bathroom was modern (which was a very nice surprise). The open concept living area made the space even more inviting. Definitely worth more than one return visit.

I’ve now rented this home twice for fishing trips. It is a phenomenal location if you’re interested in anything like that.

I stayed at the cabin for a writing retreat. I was looking for a nice, secluded place out in the wilderness and this place was perfect. You are quite literally in a state park, with nothing but wilderness surrounding on all sides. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need. I hope to come back again sometime
